W. COOPER BUSCHEMEYER III, MD
W. Cooper Buschemeyer III, MD, is a board-certified urologic surgeon with his own private practice in Conroe, and The Woodlands, Texas. He has performed hundreds of robotic surgical procedures.
He completed his residency and fellowship in urologic surgery at Duke University Medical Center. Before leaving the world-renowned medical center, Dr. Buschemeyer served as the Chief Resident in Urologic Surgery. Prior to Duke, Dr. Buschemeyer studied cancer biology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisville in Kentucky and his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
In addition to traditional urological procedures and treatments, Dr. Buschemeyer specializes in advanced robotic procedures, including prostatectomy, cystectomy, reconstructive bladder surgery, partial nephrectomy, as well as ureter and kidney reconstruction and repair. He also has a special interest in urologic oncology.
Dr. Buschemeyer is affiliated with Houston Northwest Medical Center, Northwest Surgery Center, Providence Hospital of North Houston, and Houston Methodist of The Woodlands.
He maintains professional memberships with the American Association of Clinical Urologists, American Medical Association, American Urological Association, Texas Medical Association, and the Texas Urological Association. He is also an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. .
